Another view of franchising

I was really excited at the back end of last week to meet someone at a networking event who'd franchised his coaching business. I managed to speak with him at one of the breaks to find out how he'd done it.

The first thing he said to me was "It's really easy". You've no idea how reassuring that was to hear. He'd done everything I've done - put in place an operational manual and a training package, but he'd done it without any outside help and it didn't cost him a penny. The only thing he found with doing this was that one of his franchisees said to him that he needed to revise the manual as it was written for him and not them, so that's what he did.

He recruited his franchisees by putting an advert in the Daily Mail and eventually got five franchisees on board. They have monthly meetings and training sessions and he is really enjoying it.

It's great to hear successful stories like that and I felt really motivated.
